Hello all and welcome to the wrap up of event number 2 of 8 played Saturday, February 25th 2023
We had an outstanding turn up for event 2 of the 8 qualifiers with 126 players across the 4 divisions. This included 31 new players and 95 returning players – 72% of players from event 1! The event was played in a competitive yet sportsmanlike manner which is fantastic to see. Outstanding!
Divisions 1-3 are sponsored and supported by DartsWA while the premier division is sponsored and supported by Ellenbrook Transport. Without this support events like these would not be possible.
The players participated in the 4 divisions – Premier – 17 players, Division 1 – 36 players, Division 2 – 43 players and Division 3 – 30 players. This was the second event of 8 to complete the preliminaries prior to the finals starting where the Top Qualified 16 in each division will play off in the Grand Final on Saturday the 11th November 2023 at the Belmont Sports & Rec.
However, you must have played in at least 6 or 75% of the events to be eligible to play. Remember those who have played at least 6 events and are not in the Top 16 will be elevated into the 16 if higher points players are not qualified.
Notes:
- Thirty two (32) 180’s thrown by 21 players taking the season total to sixty three (63) 180’s hit by 32 players. 163 players have competed so far – seeing almost 20% of players hit a 180 which for many is few and far between. Amazing!
- Fourteen (14) 100 plus pegs. Highest 137 by Mark Walsh, well done. Overall the highest peg for the season is by Josh Howie with 167 which will be Tough to beat – but why not take out the big fish!
Mark Walsh was recognized for his contributions to the game by being awarded a voucher from Flight Club he can enjoy with some friends. We thank Flight Club for this voucher which allows us to support and show appreciation for our players.
