Men’s Lower Grades 2023

Men’s Lower Grade Championships 2023

Though numbers were a little lower than last year, the standard of darts certainly wasn’t.  The men were split into 4 divisions and played over the 2 days.

West Coast pulled their team 2 days before the event and this resulted in a bye in division 3, rather than whining or complaining the players just got on with the game.  Awesome to see.

A total of 24 180’s were hit over the weekend, and 12 100 + pegs. The highest peg was 128 from Tommy Barker.

The kitchen was very busy, and although the food was excellent it may have had something to do with members of the state ladies team running the counter and kitchen as part of their fundraising.  The ladies received a well deserved round of applause at presentation.

Darts Connect was used and for some this was their first interaction with the scoring program.  The whole weekend was a pleasure to attend with a great bunch of men just there to play darts, have fun and catch up with friends.

Thank you to the BSRC, bar staff and kitchen staff.
