Important Information for Youth Players and Parents

To all youth players and parents planning to attend the Championships and the Betty Hislop State Singles & Doubles on 18–19 July, please note the following important update.

Following a decision by the State Officials and the Darts WA Committee, the Teams Event originally scheduled for Saturday, 18 July will no longer proceed.

Instead, the Betty Hislop State Singles and State Doubles events will be held on Saturday, 18 July.

Based on performances in these events, the State Captains and Managers will select a State Squad to return on Sunday, 19 July to participate in a trial for selection in the Darts WA State Youth Team, which will travel to Tasmania in January 2027.

The 2027 Darts WA State Youth Team will be announced at the conclusion of the trials on Sunday.

We encourage all eligible youth players to attend on Saturday and take the opportunity to put themselves forward for selection to represent our great state.

Please advise the Games Co-ordinator that you have arrived at the venue before 9:30am, this will ensure you are included in the draw.

Play to commence at 10:am.

If time permits doubles to commence after completion of team’s event. If time does not permit this, doubles will commence first on Sunday.

Nomination fees can be paid directly into DWA account. Please ensure you include details of the player/players you are paying for or email the Treasurer at treasurer@dartswa.com.au to advise payment has been completed and details of team.

By-Law 10.3: In Under 18s and 25’s and Under, Teams Championships events, a Player who is not required to represent his/her first Association may play for another Association, without the need of an Inter Association Transfer. Provided that he/she has contacted his/her Parent Association Secretary and confirmed that he/she is not required by their first Association and has their permission to represent another Association in the Championships.
