National 25 and Unders gets underway

Sunday 6th November saw the 25’s and under get under way in Westbury Tasmania with the Meander Valley Masters Singles with 30 males and 25 Ladies participating. All players showed they were here to give it their best shot and it made the future of the sport look solid going by the performances.

At the end of the preliminary round the 1/4 finals saw Hannah Bellottie W.A. beat Jade Lock Tasmania, Kaitlan Brown W.A. beat Shey-Anne Riley Tasmania, Jacinta Roberts Vic beat Hayley Dawson W.A. and Edwina Dryden W.A. beat Sam Jones W.A. In the Semi Finals, Kaitlan beat Hannah and Edwina beat Jacinta. This made it an all W.A. final and it turned out to be a top class final. Edwina showed she is a player of the future winning 4-0 with a 22.02 or 64.6 ave and Kaitlan was only ever 1 shot behind her and finished with a 18.04 per dart or 54 per shot average.

The mens competition was a treat to watch. In the 1/4 finals Sam Ballinger Vic beat Alex Jones W.A. , Steve Powell Vic beat Mitch Clark W.A. , Simon Bryant Tasmania beat Stuart Coburg Vic and Nathan Seabourne Tas beat Aaron Simpson Vic. The semis saw Sam beat Steve and Simon beat Nathan. The Mens final was a great game to watch with Sam winning 4 -0 and averaging 29.910 per dart. There was nothing Simon could do to stop Sam. He averaged 26.909 per dart but only got one shot at a peg.
