This years event was held at the Gary Holland Community Centre in the City of Rockingham. The venue was adequate and the playing conditions although a bit tight were of a high standard. The Assistance from many volunteers was tremendous and the event would not have been such a good success without them.
This year we had self contained rooms at Beachside Apartments , these were in a good location and again had many options for the players and officials at the end of a long day of darts. Again we were on the beach front and it was again a very relaxed location for all and it reflected in our success.
The men as a playing group again cannot be faulted, we had six changes in the team from the previous year in Adelaide but this did not hinder the playing group. As last year, I am very truly humbled by the manner in which the playing group managed themselves and displayed outstanding team spirit and camaraderie even when all seemed lost in a couple of the team’s games against South Australia and Queensland. To finish undefeated is a tribute to the team and all the members.
The smooth running of the team is managed by the Team Manager and Glen McLeod in his 3rd championship again showed his organisational skills are at a very high level in all jobs that he undertook this year. Glen, once again played a valuable role in the team’s success in 2015

A very big thank you to Sue Buckless for stepping in to do the book in the teams event, a great job. Peggy Morton was a stats guru this year assisting Alison Falconer and her crew.
Thanks to all the locals and past & present players for their support, it sure was well received by all of us.
This year again was the rebuilding of the WA Men and they all handled themselves in a team orientated manner and demonstrated their ability both on and off the board. I Look forward to Victoria in 2016 where Glen and I hope to continue the development and regrowth which will again lead the rise of WA Men’s darts in the National Championships.
